Day 3: Delhi to Corbett by surface (approx. 275 kms, 6 hrs)

According to Hindu mythology, Haridwar is one among the four sites where drops of the elixir of immortality Amrita accidentally spilled over from the pitcher (or Kumbha), in which it was being carried away by the celestial bird Garuda, the vehicle of Vishnu after Samudra manthan. Day 6: Same day excursion to Rishikesh
Morning 1 hr yoga session After breakfast same day excursion to Rishikesh it is believed that when Raibhya Rishi did rigorous penances here, the God appeared to name the place as Hrishikesh and subsequently the place came to be known as Rishikesh Upon arrival at Rishikesh you will enjoy visiting Bharat Mandir - It is the oldest temple in Rishikesh. The image installed here has a distinctly Himalayan cast of features. Through the temple is dedicated to Lord Mahavishnu, it holds a number of image normally associated with the worship of Lord Shiva. Triveni Ghat-The Ghat is an interesting place to be at dawn, when people make offerings of milk to the river and feed the surprisingly large fish. Kailash Niketan Temple - This is the main temple at Lakshman Jhula. Lakshman Jhula The suspension bridge Lakshman Jhula was built in 1929 to replace a rope bridge. This is where Rama brother Lakshmana is said to have crossed the river on a jute rope. Shivananda Ashram (The Divine Life Society) Founded by Swami Shivanand, is a well-known ashram and the society has breaches in many countries. Return back to Haridwar Overnight stay at hotel

Day 7: Haridwar to Amritsar by train Jan Shatabadi (Daily except Thursday)

Day 8: Amritsar
Today after breakfast you will enjoy city tour of Amritsar visiting Golden Temple the holiest shrine of the Sikh religion. The Golden Temple sits on a rectangular platform, surrounded by pool of water called the Amrit Sarovar after which the city is named. Jalianwala Bagh here on 13 April 1919 British Indian Army soldiers under the command of Brigadier-General Reginald Dyer opened fire on an unarmed gathering of men, women and children and killed 379 people. Durgayana Mandir the Durgiana temple complex was built in the 16th century, dedicated to Goddess Durga. The temple is situated outside the Lohgarh Gate one can walk away from the Golden Temple complex through the narrow passage to visit Durgiana Temple. Day 10: Shimla
Today after breakfast you will proceed for sightseeing of hill station and around, visiting; State Museum (Closed on Monday) This building was a private residence of Lord William Beresford, the Military secretary to the viceroys for many years. Viceregal Lodge Indian Institute of Advanced study: The site for Viceregal Lodge was selected by Lord Lytton the Viceroy of India between 1876 -1880. Jhaku Temple/ Hill (2455 Mts.): This is the town's highest peak and a vantage point for Shimla's famous views. The summit is crowned with a temple dedicated to monkey God Hanuman. Toy Train - the Shimla-Kalka rail route, offers the charm of old-world travel amidst lofty pines and lush green, misty mountains. This is one of the four narrow gauge rail routes on hill terrain in the country. Laid out on a 96 km long narrow gauge track that passes through 103 tunnels and across more th an 800 bridges and viaducts, it is one of the most beautiful hill railways in India. It was considered the "crown jewel" of the Indian National Railways during British times. Flanked by hills on both sides, the rail line, like twin threads of silver, clings to the steep cliffs and ventures boldly over bridges, built over tiny streams that show off their radiance in the sunlight. The cool breeze sweeps across your face as the train makes an arduous climb of almost 4800 feet from Shimla to Kalka in almost five hours. Arrive Kalka railway station to board train for Delhi.
